Hey mrocean,
You can check this link:
http://www.iphonehacks.com/2007/11/iphone-youtube.htmlto get more details on how to fix the YouTube problem on a JailBroken iPhone.
I am not sure if this will work with iPhone firmware 1.1.4 but I am sure someone who is facing this issue can try it out and let us know.

jailbreaking 1.1.4 w/ iNdependence allows everything to work as intended. i.e. youtube is just fine so you shouldnt run into this problem by using this method -
I keep getting "Main Script Execution Failed!" from Installer.app whenever I try to install anything.

I'm having main script execution failure after activation and jailbreack with independence How can i fix this. Please help I can't install anything

"Main Script Execution Failed!" Seems to be the magic word of the day... This happens when trying to install apps that are designated for 1.1.3
This is cool though...Nice! independence will be round for a long time....
Apple will never unlock the phone... -
the "Main Script Execution Failed" error is due to permission problems on the installer.app. to fix it:
using a mac:
1) connect your iPhone to your Mac
2) ssh as root into the iphone using the Terminal application on your mac:
- ssh root@iPhone's_IP_Address
- i.e. ssh root@192.168.1.123
- when prompted for the pwd, type 'alpine' (without quotes)
3) type: chmod ug+s /Applications/Installer/Installer.appthis should do the fix in allowing u to install apps

Want to be able to install 3rd party apps in my Iphone (firmware 1.1.4) -- downloaded iNdependence beta and ran the jailbreak -- seemed to work, but now what do I do? How do I get that installer.app to appear on my Iphone. Can anyone suggest a link where I can get instructions on what I do now?
Thanks! -
I was able to download the old installer after jailbreaking with iNdependence on my 1.1.4 but when I try to update the Installer.app, it tells me "Error during installation script execution". When I try "chmod ug+s Applications/Installer/Installer.app" for my iPod touch, it tells me "No such file or directory". Any ideas?

The correct command to fix Installer is:
chmod ug+s /Applications/Installer.app/Installer -
