Apple Sues Samsung For Infringing On iPad, iPhone Case Design Patents
Apple has now sued Samsung for infringing on iPad and iPhone case design patents in Australia.
Bloomberg reports:
Apple Inc..., which on Dec. 9 lost a bid to keep Samsung Electronics Co.’s Galaxy 10.1 tablet out of Australia, claims the case for the device and cases for Samsung phones infringe its patents and registered design.

Not for nothing, i though that was an iPad slider for a second. Samsung seams to do nothing but copy products and lack any innovation.

To be honest you could say 99% of the cases out there are mock ups of other cases. There are plenty of clone smart covers for iPad that look like the OEM product. There are a ton of portfolio style covers that all share the same design. Is it so odd some third party would design a similar cover for any other tablet?

Is it that difficult to understand the article? It says the cover was made by some 3rd party. It has nothing to do with Samsung. Samsung even made an official statement about it.

I too thought at first it was the iPad smart cover. But realized it wasn't. Now Samsung is really looking to be sued big time. They lack innovations and creativity. Pity. And oh... So the monkey (Ron) can speak?

As long as Apple keeps charging exorbitant prices for their products they'll never receive any sympathy from me. Infringe away Samsung and anyone else that offers more reasonably priced products.

From an honest stand point. I have had an iPhone 4 and 4s. Dell venue pro. Dell streak 5 and a Motorola atrix 4G. The iPhone 4 was the first then all the other in order till the iPhone 4S. While they are apple, dell, and motorola my point still should stand. While apple is extremely controlling over their OS and because of this features in the OS are really well made. Again honestly I think iOS is better then android because the android OS is so fragmented and not up to snuf as iOS. Sure call me a fanboy. But I consider myself an entrepreneur of greatness in technology. And Samsung not having the balls to make their own crap? Thats the gayest crap ever. I bet that Samsung couldn't even come up with there own concept of a device. Get a live Samsung.
