NFL To Stream Super Bowl XLVI To iPhone And iPad
We have some good news for NFL fans (with some caveats).
NFL and NBC has announced that it will stream the Super Bowl and the Pro Bowl live on its website for the first time.
NFL will also stream the Super Bowl and Pro Bowl live to Verizon's NFL Mobile app for iPhone and iPad (App Store link). Unfortunately, this means that it will be available only to Verizon Wireless customers.

And exactly which carrier's with their limited/throttled "Unlimited" data plans are going to actually be able to support this?

What a load of BS !!!!!!!!!!!!

SERIOUSLY - half the time when i go to www.iphonehacks.com, the damn pop up ads hijack my browser and take me somewhere else... I like this website and have read it for years, but the pop up ads are HORRIBLE, and I'm going to stop visiting unless y'all get rid of them!

reviews online in the appstore are horrid for this product. Verizon dropped the ball on this one.The sad part though is misdirected anger. 80% of the comments are negative towards app store. Not their fault. another good percentage says doesn't work without verizon .. well its not programed by AT&T its made by verizon .. so what's the big deal if Verizon makes it only for their customers? Verizon offers a app to transfer contacts from your old phone to new iPhone. Should they make it so it works for all networks? Seriously folks....Now from what the reviews said, sounds like Verizon does have a lot of work to do to make the app what it should be, but direct the rage to verizon, so they step up their game.

I wonder how much downtime a couple of 1000 servers will have on this small planet if this is true.....'The Day The (mobile) Internet Stood Still'

Shows the importance iOS devices are now getting.

Funny this is, if you have the Sunday Ticket from DirecTV you can already stream the entire NFL season on your iphone, Android or iPAD with their free app. The playoffs and SuperBowl are a different story however but NBC has always showed the Sunday night game online with different camera angles, no commercials, etc for the last couple of years at least.

And the streaming for Sunday Ticket is horrible. The quality on a 35Mbit connection is pathetic.
