Apple Hit With $1.2 Million Fine in Italy For Improper Warranty Disclosure
Apple was hit with a $1.2 million fine by the Italian anti-trust body for failing to adequately explain their 2-year warranty to customers.
Reuters reports that Italy's anti-trust body has fined Apple 900,000 Euros, or about $1.2 million. In their judgement, Apple did not properly disclose information related to the 2-year warranty included with their products.

What a load of bollocks. Trust a government, up to their eyes in debt to start fining big non EU companies! What next, fining NASA for looking at them from space?

Ha ha ha brilliant and totally agree :)

same as CE approval.. want to ship to the EU.. pay money... on top of that... someone keeps your files in the EU on the CE approval which is open to prying eyes. Companies have to pay to keep that information on file or no CE approval.

It's not just Italy but the entire EU where Apple chooses to not inform customers properly. Not all EU country's are up to their eyeballs in dept by the way.

Apple Italia and Apple Retail ItaliaAll REAL company's in the EU.

Why are people moaning? This is good for the consumers.

So...$1.2 million...that's like less than pocket lint for Apple.
