Corona iOS 5.0.1 Updated To Fix 'Launchctl' Issue
After a long wait, iPhone Dev team and the Chronic Dev team released Redsn0w and Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether to perform an untethered jailbreak on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPod touch 4G, iPod touch 3G and iPad 1.
However, some users who had used Corona iOS 5.0.1 untether to convert their tethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak to untethered jailbreak or used Redsn0w to perform the untethered iOS 5.0.1 jailbreak had reported issues with some jailbreak apps.

I installed the latest version and everything but I still have to boot tetherd. It wo'nt boot on its own. I have a 3gs running 5.0.1. :( Any suggestions?

Same here, I have a iPhone 4 on 5.0.1 tether stuck at apple boot logo after I install corona 5.0.1 untether. Had to boot tether for it to work, also tried to rejailbreak with untether redsn0w but also didn't work. Had to restore then jailbreak.

Same question over here - untethered with redsn0w over the top of my tethered jailbreak, can I just install newest version of Corona or do I need to re-JB or even restore and re-JB. iPhone 4 5.0.1.

Hi, i just installed the corona untheter on mi iPhone 4 and worked successfully... Really nice, thanks for the jailbreakers hard work.

make sure you reboot after installation.

Think about it this way, if you can download it via Cydia (which requires your phone to be jailbroken to begin with), then surely Corona has to work on existing jailbroken phones, right? :)If you don't want to think about the answer, then yes, just install the latest Corona over the top of your already tethered jailbroken phone.

Don't care. Stop crying. That's why pod2g released this jailbreak to the Chronic Dev team, so that he could focus on your iPhone 4S in hope he can get it out sooner as he won't be distracted by everyone out there looking to him for technical support.

If my iphone 4 isn't jailbroken yet. Do i need corona untether 5.0.1 after i download redsn0w 0.9.10b1 and jailbreak or will it already be untethered ? Please reply as soon as possible.

Worked for me on iOS5.0.1 jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.10b1... but with lots and lots of refresh and reloading on the "Change Tab".Thanks!

Is anyone else having a hard time getting bigboss source to load on cydia?I jail broke my iPhone 4 tonight and can't get big boss to load its repo..

Note: Make sure you are using 1.0-3 as 1.0-1 was still showing in my Cydia for a bit this morning, odd, but now only 1.0-3 is there.

I was having the same issue last night but it seems to have cleared itself up at least as far as I can tell now.

i cant find the corona 5.0.1 untethered in my cydia ...... is there a specific source for it ?

Try restarting your iPhone and reloading cydia. That got the update to show up in the changes tab.

all he said was still waiting, he/she did not crying, nor did he/she say anything in any fucking way to warrant youre dumb ass response. WE know why pod whatever gave what he had to dev team. HOWEVER dickhole we are still waiting. and thats all that was said. dumbass..........

Agreed, let Cydia update it's packages to see the latest, that is what happen to me this morning, I didn't wait for the package / release update to finished.

As of 1.0-3 the answer is yes you can install over Redsn0w but I would only do it if you are having the Launchctrl issue. I tested it on my 3gs anyway for kicks and no issues after (didn't have any before)

It will be untethered no need to use this unless you have the error which you should not.

Do I need to remove Semi-tether before I install this?

This may be a dumb question, but what issues were people seeing with their apps? I am not sure what 'Launchctrl' does, or what to look for as far as problems go.

I re jailbreak my phone using the latest redsnow and follow to de select cydia and run jailbreak but sadly all my cydia tweaks apps is not working anymore..pls help?

None of the sites about this issue actually explain what the 'Launchctl' problem is and what it causes. I have no idea if I have the problem. Could someone please explain what Launchctl is and what problems we are facing. Thanks :)

Those who are unaware, launchctl is an application which assist the tool to load and unload daemons. That’s why some Cydia apps that relied on daemons did not work well with the iOS 5.0.1 untether. It is therefore highly recommended to install redsn0w 0.9.10b2 over redsn0w 0.9.10b1 or update Corona 5.0.1 untether to 1.0-3.

I have jailbroken my ipod touch. But after this, I can't install downloaded jailbroken apps. Is there a compatibility issues with this apps?
