60beat GamePad: Accessory Aims to Transform Your iOS Device Into a True Gaming Console
60Beat has just launched a game controller called GamePad for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch, which aims to transform your iOS device into a true gaming console.
Here are some details about the game controller:

problem is that most people I know play games while in a car, or public transpo, so how are they supposed to hold the device now?I like the idea tho.
-
Agree with above comment. If the controller had a IPad/iPhone/iPod mount that attaches to the device then a possible winner. In its current form it has limited use, probably only ideal for iPad.

This could be really cool. If they find a way to port it to other games ... who needs a PS3 or XBox? Theoritically, you could load games onto your hard drive and play them on your TV via the Apple HDMI cable adapter. That would also mean you could play games like GTA while on a plane for 3 hours. That would be really cool!!! Its like a TV/PS3/XBox all rolled into one thin portable screen with a controller! If they can get other games onto it, which with JBs is probably not an unsolvable issue, this could be a huge thing! Excited to see what they can do with it!!!

Does it work with the iMac??
-
Are you serious?
-
yes it works with the iMac and and it will come with a FREE 64GB iPad 2
-
was all in to it untill i read that it only supports gamepad rdy games. and its only two. sux...... oh well good idea. bad direction in only useing gamepad designed games
-
I am still waiting for someone who can come out with a game pad that you can map the touch contrlos to the controller for any and all games in the app store. games like gta3 and mega man x feel broken to me because of the touch only controls.

Why not wireless????? Why????

I want to know what the game is he is playing, I can't make out what he says it is?
-

Thanks man!

wow wait ....... a joy pad for your touch screen device :/ the whole idea of having these devices touch screen is to use your damn fingers why are people so lazy these days, if you want to use joy pads then play games on your pc or some other console but come on really....... a joy pad for your IOS5 device ? thats just mentally retarded.
-
You're a fucking moron. It's lazy to use a joy pad but it's not lazy to use a touch screen? It's people like you that are ruining the human race. Did you even think before typing that?
-
Then u dont need it to work with the iMac.
-
1. Cheaper to make = cheaper cost for consumer. Just ask Nintendo. They're pros at that.2. Never have to worry about batteries
-
Wrong answer guy. Your statement is true only to games that use swiping gestures to make it fun. Ie, angry birds, words with friends. But for games like Modern Combat 3, Rayman and action games that require aiming and shooting, a control pad is far better to use and control than touching holographic buttons. Think smarter next time, otherwise you seem as intelligent as a Droid user.

I don't know if you are aware but there are games and gamepads for the iMac, for games like batman and tons of others. Does this gamepad work with the iMac? So that I won't need to get 2, one for my iPad and one for my iMac. Just one, for both!
