PostSecret App Removed From App Store Due to Inappropriate Content
PostSecret, an app to share secrets anonymously with others, has been voluntarily removed from the App Store by the developer due to misuse. The app was launched in September last year, and quickly climbed to the top of the sales charts with more than 2 million secrets shared.
Sadly, with anonymity comes a great risk of inappropriate content. In a post on the PostSecret website, creator Frank Warren writes:

I can't believe it, i used this app & now because of the idiots it's become a risk & even the law has been involve. Idiots would have to ruin something good to make it bad

I don't get this...what's the point of this app? Either you are one lonely ass person or a hermit. If you have a secret, tell a close friend...NOT A DAMN APP!!!

I think the whole point of it is to have a place to share secrets you feel like you could NEVER tell ANYONE else. Not "I made out with that one person at that one party shhh don't tell her boyfriend" kinds of secrets, even though there were plenty of those. But like--child abuse, molestation, rape, sexuality issues, unpopular opinions that your family would disown you for--so you could get it off your chest and start the healing process. Though, the app is gone now, so I guess it doesn't really matter does it?
