About That Ridiculous iPad 4 Rumor
The past week or so, we've seen close to half a dozen Digitimes reports about Apple products, specifically the iPad and the rumored Apple Television. Some of these were believable (even if they don't pan out) while some were downright ridiculous.
The claims about the iPad 3 being available in a few months, having increased battery life and a high resolution display are believable. Apple making a reappearance at Macworld, on the other hand sounds outlandish.

Not sure if it's suppose to say iPhone 52012 would see two new iPads, the iPad 3 in March and the iPad 4 in October. The iPad 4 would apparently have "killer integrated applications."

No they are right. They were talking about the 2 iPad deal earlier in the week. I don't think anyone fell for that sh*t. They're just getting ridiculous lately. Iphonehacks just summed it up perfect.

Invalid sim fix for iphone 4/4sI dont think it is software. I tested the phone with two different sims from two different networks. Only one posed the problem. Also, they were cut slightly differently (but overall shape the same). The article below outlines how you can solve this. Its worked for me except i put tape directly onto my sim. Basically the article suggests that the clip that pushes out the sim tray touches then underside of the sim (ie the gold part) and causes it to short circuit. Also the sims being slightly different, im guessing the one that caused the problem kept touching the clip inside. iPhonehacks, you guys did this a couple of times in the past... Do I hate ridiculous rumors, YES. Do you need to bash on another publication/blog because they come up with crap like this? Not at all.I remember a particular week when i pointed this out on twitter. You guys even answered my tweet when it was getting out of hand. Plus, why do we need confirmation that the other sources are incorrect? After all, we all follow YOUR stories... Right?

Hey Victor,You're right we have been guilty of it as well and we're sure we'll be guilty of it in the future. But as Rounak points out some of the reports are believable or like last year if someone like John Gruber of Daring Fireball who has a good track record when it comes to Apple related rumors tells us that Apple may launch an iPad 2 and iPad 3 in 2011 (though we did mention we're skeptical about it as Steve Jobs had clearly said that 2011 will be the year of iPad 2).We do believe it is ridiculous when the same blog reports different and sometimes contradictory things all in a week's time and someone had to talk about it.

Who cares - we hear about 15 different rumours each week about iphone/ipad and most are wrong. Look at all the stuff about the iphone 5 which actually then just turned out to be the 4S! I'll just wait and see what is released and ignore these 'insider reports' which are to be honest just guesses.

Well, How would you guys take it if another blog takes your rumor talk and bashes your work?As I said before... Rumors get annoying after a while... It feels like everyone is running out of material. Blogs that report rumors, and blogs that bash on other blogs. Dont get me wrong, Gizmodo is on the same train.. Just thought I'd share my take on it.
