iPhone 4S Launch in China Greeted With Long Lines
As expected, Apple's iPhone 4S goes on sale in China and 21 new countries on Friday, January 13th.
Folks at Tech in Asia are reporting that there are already long lines outside Apple Stores in China.

yea not sure why people here in US waited. i preordered mine, and it came the day the phone officially came out.

I wonder were these iPhone shipped directly from the China warehouse or to US than back to China...LOL, it should sell cheaper if directly from China

Because sometimes you have no choice if you want to get it on day one or 2 to 3 weeks. Usually the first couple of hours online they fall quickly to a three or four week ship time so that's when u say screw it I'll try at a store on opening day. Then when they don't have the one u want left at the store, which is what happened to me with the iPad 2 I wound up waiting like a month and a half to get the thing. I've gotten the iPhone 4 & 4S by mail on the first day but if you don't get it in the first couple hours your scr*wed.

those people are not idiot. online order will take 2-3 weeks for getting the iphone and especially online store showed that no stock already. and most people lined up yesterday is scalper who wanna resell for making money. blame on the huge population in China.

I wonder if this could be a world record. You know, for longest waiting lines ever or something like that..:)I even heard there's some kids who sold their organ just to get iPhone. Hard for me to believe this.
