HzO Claims to be in Talks With Apple to Make Future iPhones Waterproof Using Their Water Blocking Technology
Last week, we reported about a company called Liquipel, which claimed to make the iPhone waterproof without a case, with a process that applies a patent pending waterproof coating on the iPhone to protect it from water or liquids.
Though it seemed too good to be true, quite a few of you seemed to be interested in the technology that could waterproof your iPhone.

This is outlandish, what about normal wear and tear? Abrasion... Of this is a nano film whats to say we dont rub if off by playing button masher games like street fighter.

this is the same thing i was thinking, or how about charging,and earphone usage? Or just changing cases every so often.Sounds cool, but im sceptical about its real world usage. To many variables to consider and no clarification on the senarios mentioned above.

It does say "applied to device *interior*" there, so I don't see how button mashing street fighter would affect it.. Not sure about geadphone port or where their definition of interior begins/ends though..

I think it actually covers the pcb itself rather then the external housing.. Otherwise water would just pour in through the jacks n speakers etc..

A short on the headphone port wouldnt damage the phone in the slightest as long as the logic board is protected from any.
