User Claims Siri is Working on His iPod Touch And iPhone 4 After Restoring From iPhone 4S Backup
Cult of Mac reports that a user has claimed that Siri was installed on his iPod touch and iPhone 4 when he restored it from an iPhone 4S backup.
It would be quite bizarre if this turns out to be true, as hackers have been working hard to bring Siri to non-iPhone 4S devices ever since iPhone 4S was launched and have only recently managed to bring Siri to non-iPhone 4S devices but still only for someone who is technically inclined.

i have saw stuff like this happen but not like this i have saw a custom carrier name stay in a back up but it only shows up when you reinstall the app that changed the carrier name. i feel this is false i dont think a back up saves the files in the springboard folder. not to sure about that thow. i just dont see this working. he could have made the deb file and installed it thru ifile any number of things . i will for sure give it a shot and post later if it works.

Its Called Spire, or H1Siri, or Siri0us. They can be gotten through Cydia.

Its h1siri because that does not show in settings, and he modified siri0us to make it seem like normal by removing ads and so forth.

i agree what a load of BullS*1T.Even if this stood the remotest chances of being true, it don`t work anyway because he can`t connect to the fruit companys servers.Bull S*1tters like this should be culled by shotgun!! FACT..!

You couldn't restore iPod with iPhone's firmware, because they are a little bit different. Fake.

Just restored an ipad 2 backup to my iphone 4, it stretched the screen from 3.5", to ipads 9.7". This changes everything!!!!!! Helpful note: During the restore its a good idea to leave a few inches of space around its perimeter for expansion.

No, he means he backed up his iPhone 4S and then restored the "back up" to his iPod touch. He didn't use the iPhone 4S firmware, just the data that was on it.

I just restored my 4s to an iPad 2 and back down from iPad to 4s and now I have two 4s's!!! This is amazIng!! Also I can also can't believe how fast the growing process was. Lol thanks for the help guys! I'm gonna sell the extra phone I have now! Yay

Just gave it a try on my iPod Shuffle.Now my Shuffle has a A5 Chip, Retina Display, Siri and WiFi! This guys is a genius!Like O-M-Freaking -G! LMAFO! GLWS! ROTFL, Totally Totally Rad!

I just flashed my 8ALL sack, my shaft is a 4s, thank you all. Also, i used iTunes on my Samsung Galaxy and restored a iPad 3 backup, let me tell you, my Ball sack is so jealous.
