Absinthe For Mac Updated to Fix VPN And White Icon Issues
Hot on the heels of releasing greenpois0n Absinthe for Windows, Chronic Dev Team has also updated Absinthe for Mac v0.2 for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 users to fix VPN and white icon bugs.
The latest version of Absinthe fixes the issue where some users complained that their iPhone 4S / iPad 2 did not reboot at the end of the jailbreak process even after using the VPN trick.

It took me a full day to jailbreak my iPad2 with the previous release version, but it was well worth it. Great work! Its amazing what you guys can do! Thanks so much!!!

Me too,I eexperience the Same problems for both my 4s and iPad2.. Are we suppose to rerun the whole jailbreak process with this current update?

@DGIt doesn't have anything to do with VPN, it was just a bug that could be solved via turning on the VPN. Which is now fixed!

Jailbroke my 4s in about 10 mins on my MacBook pro running lion.. No issues. Sometimes when I install an app through Cydia some icons turn white and field test will show up on my springboard, just respring and everything is ok.. Or just reboot.. Everything else works great.. Does lockdown pro work for the 4s running 5.0? It freezes my phone..

My issue is that after I jail broke my 4s none of the music in it is playable. it shows the media is there but when I hit play it does nothing.It shows the play icon on the phone but no music. The timer of course does no t work either.On the other hand Pandora works fine.

I have the same exact issue. I tried turning off iTunes match, deleting all the music, and putting all the music back on my iPhone 4s. Still not working 100%. I am now going to try clearing the music, then downloading each song from itunes match to my iPhone. Maybe they will release a cydia patch for everyone since you cannot re-jailbreak using the new program like you can in redsn0w.

I already jb my iPad2 wifi 5.0.1 and have some difficulties doing it and I already make my donations for this jb (and I really appreciate your work here!!!)But I'm having the white icons issue (so sad every time I install an app)What I need to do? I also have the same issue, I tried everything possible, it's just not working, the jb mainly works fantastic, with some easily re-springable bugs, but the music thing is a serious Robles, and it's keeping me from jbing again, I did it 3 xs now, this is a serious issue, Chronic Dev Team please release a correct update ASAP!!!!!! I want to use it the way it's designed because overall its a fantastic jailbreak, (just fix te music glitch)

Try installing activator and choosing an action to easily re-spring the phone, that worked for me, -love in Christ

I also have the problem! Some songs straight don't play, some display the wrong album art..Tried redoing the jb - no go; remove and resync all music - no go; turned off autosync, etc - no go..REALLLYYY hope this is addressed soon bc my house party playlists are **** when they can't play or jumble up half the songs -_-
