Lingual: Jailbreak Tweak Brings Siri Voice Translation to iPhone 4S
As we reported earlier, Mario Hros a.k.a kexik has released a jailbreak tweak called AssistantExtensions, which seems to be the mother of all Siri jailbreak tweaks.
The jailbreak tweak not only allows you to open apps, send tweets, enable/disable Settings toggles, control brightness, respring Springboard etc., it also provides a framework for other developers to create Siri extensions.

I would like that Siri speak Spanish...! Para preguntarle: Siri, Donde esta el Striper's Club mas cercano....!
-
Siri donde estas mota?......(ask siri what her fav color is ) =D
-
mota is a joint thats what me and steve used to smoke.....

This by far has to be one of the best use of jail breaking I have seen to date. Functional, realistic, a true necessity for travelers to foreign lands. Not just some piece of fluff or piracy mumbo jumbo.

Totally agree man. I was telling people two years ago the next big thing was going to be putting your iPhone between two people who talk two different languages and having your iPhone or I guess now Siri being your translator. I can't wait for this to have a "chat feature" great stuff.
-
LOL, get other languages too.

The first german translation is the greatest bullshit i've ever heared xD.

I love this. Great for living in Japan. Would love it to add the reading in romanji or kana for kanji like google translate does. Then I could read the whole translation!
-
is this better than google translate? google translate will speak on a lot of common languages.
-
Since it is a third party app, does that mean they can fish my info, even if my phone mobile password is changed

"Now, if someone can figure out a way for Siri to say the translated text in one of those 35 languages, that would make this jailbreak tweak even better."that would make this a killer app.
