Tim Cook Responds to Factory Worker Mistreatment Allegations
Yesterday, New York Times in a lengthy article titled "iEconomy - In China, Human Costs Are Built Into an iPad" a followup to their earlier article about "Why Apple's iPhone was made in China", attacked Apple for not doing enough to improve living conditions for workers at their suppliers factories.
The New York Times recounts an incident from May last year where an explosion in Foxconn's factory killed 2 workers.
The article goes on to quote a former Foxconn manager:

Tim was the master mind behind manufacturing products at Foxconn.

If Foxconn is a supplier to Apple and not owned in full or part by Apple, why is it's Apple's responsibility to set internal policy. The Chiness government set standards for safety and mimiumn wages. If Foxconn is in compliance, what else is Apple (or anyone to do). If the problem is an human rights/welfare one based on an individual's personal beliefs, don't buy products made in an Foxconn plant.

They look sexy. I don't care...

That's the whole point. People are concerned that apple is dealing with china companies that abuse workers. They are complaining to Apple and making sure apple will respond properly.

Apple has always been FILLED WITH DECEPTION, even if sub-companies abuse their workers
