Siri Isn't The Bandwidth Guzzler That is Ruining Mobile Networks
The Washington Post published a piece titled "Apple's Siri threatens to damage cellphone service for all" yesterday, which held Siri responsible for excessive load on mobile networks, because of its frequent communication with Apple's servers.
The Washington Post's Paul Farhi claims:
"Siri's dirty little secret is that she's a bandwidth guzzler, the digital equivalent of a 10-miles-per-gallon Hummer H1."

Great post, Rounak. I totally agree with you.

Thats a good point. You figure the 4s is Siri users. Unless you have working spire, I cloud. Is ALL IOS DEVICES. that easy out beats Siri users by far.

Yes, Exactly ... That's the point. Looser carriers ...

Well the consumer who drives the cell phone market don't even use Siri referring to teenagers I am around a lot of teen and none are using siri and I have ask a few and they don't care to use it

iCloud backup is with wifi, so it shouldn't use data.
-
My iCloud is backing up my 4S right now on 3G NOT wifi thanks to 3G unrestrictor in cydia :)

Blame money hungry carriers, not Siri... Tink again who is really constraining innovation
-
let's not forget about iTunes match.my data went over 2gb's within the first 2 weeks of the billing cycle (I received the treating text from AT&T)

Siri is not that useful at times.
-
the photstream is over 3g

It's more users not Siri or anything else they blame. They don't have enough bandwidth to handle more users. Logical.

Well based on my experience I went from 500MB/month of data to 3+GB/month. Once I turned Siri off, that was gone. So whatever users are experiencing Siri is a b*tch, I confirm.
