Zephyr For iPhone Updated; Now Allows You to Close an App With a Swipe
Grant Paul a.k.a chpwn - iOS developer and hacker, who has released jailbreak apps such as Spire - the legal Siri port to non-iPhone 4S had released a jailbreak tweak called Zephyr, which brought some cool multitasking gestures to the iPhone and iPod touch to access multitasking tray or to switch between apps.
chpwn has just released a new version of Zephyr, which includes the following changes:

Not so bad...

Looks useful but I wouldn't pay $2.99 for it.

Good but still buggy, if you switch fast or pull app up/down several times, goes to safe mode. Uninstalling for now.
-
And you pay $2.99, not big deal. But still waist of money...!

Best tweak ever! A completely new way of using iPhone. Not need anymore to use home button. Using it two days now all the time and I didnt had any bugs.

I thought I wanted Zephyr for the multitouch options. Mostly to view the app switcher without wearing out my home button. Then I remembered Activator. Went in and set two finger swipe up from bottom to show the app switcher. Works perfect and it is free. Also one less thing taking up space on my iPhone.

Looks nice but what about multitask gestures?
-
Activator does this and a whole LOT more. And it's free. It's good to have options.

Zephyr has some neat features, but if you're mainly looking is to swipe up for your task switcher, Activator is definitely the way to go. Activator is way more versatile, too. Honestly, I just removed Zephyr after reading "p to the izzle"'s post and realizing the same thing.

Too bad this wasn't an optional feature. I liked it the previous way.

Too bad this wasn't an optional feature. I liked it the previous way to see the tray.

Too bad this wasn't an optional feature. The update doesn't play as nice with Dreamboard themes.

You can still see the multitasking tray. All you need to do is pause a second while swiping from up and you should see the multitasking tray.
