Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether Updated to Fix iBooks DRM Issue
Jay Freeman a.k.a saurik - founder and developer of Cydia has just released a new version Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether jailbreak (v1.0-7) to fix the DRM iBooks issue.
iPhone Dev team had released a new version of Redsn0w - Redsn0w 0.9.10b5 yesterday that included a fix for the iBooks DRM issue. But the Corona iOS 5.0.1 Untether update that is available on Cydia is an easier option.

I have a newer bootrom 3Gs (xx015-15th week of 2010) that is fully functional WITHOUT Corona using the custom ipsw on a Redsn0w jailbreak. I can reboot and everything is super stable with mobile substrate and ultrasn0w. What is Corona for?

Ok, now the older bootroom xx942 (in between 40 and 45) is TETHERED and requires redsn0w boot to work Cydia and jb apps. What gives???

Corona worked like a charm on my xx942 serial ATT 3GS. Weird that my 2010 model didn't require it and the 2009 model did. Anybody else have a similar experience?

I don't have corona installed on my I4 and iBooks works just fine. Is this the only thing it's for?

Problems on my iPad 2. Jailbreak was real sketchy! I did a restore and tried it again. Works fine. Jail breaking took way to much work

Well it's to untether the jailbreak. Depending on what jailbreak you "used" you may orat not need it.

I have the older bootrom 3GS, jailbroken with redsn0w B3, and iBooks doesnt work at all... I havent installed any of the Corona's yet as thought id wait for the bugs to be ironed out, but now for the 1st time I've read that old bootrom shouldn't install it?? Why is this??

Ok, let me get this straight. My iPhone 4S [5.0.1] which was jailbroken with absinthe v0.2 needs this "Corona 5.0.1 Untether (v1.0-8)" in order to fix the iBooks DRM issue?

Just installed and now for some reason siri crashes mobile substrate as soon as i try to open siri?Could be related, probably isnt, as installed a few proggys recently from cydia, so dont know whether it s connected or not?

I jailbroken try 4S and installed a couple sources and the last source I installed ( I forgot what it was ) but anywho I restarted the spring board and now my phone is stuck at the spinning wheel ... CAN ANYONE HELP ?????

to Nice, my iphone 4 stuck on spinning wheel i had to hook iphone to computer open itunes and reset my iphone to factory settings be sure to save your data it takes a long time but i was glad to get my phone you will haft to rejailbreak.

i have a iphone 4 thats at&t and running on 5.0.1. i am with tmobile and thought i could use it on the carrier i currently have… i havent got any help with figuring out how i can get it to work. no one seems sure or confident in what they are talking about. can an expert or somoeone who has a iphone 4 running on 5.0.1, who has done it and knows what they’re talking about help me please.

you can not use tmobile sim card on iphone 4 ios 5.0.1 without having a PRESERVE baseband of 4.10.1 or lower anything higher then that u will not be able to unlock yet. if u do have this PRESERVE baseband or lower you can unlock with a gevey ultra sim. hope this helps
