Sprint Sold 1.8 Million iPhones Last Quarter; Of Which 40% Were to New Customers
Sprint has just announced its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2011. Sprint reports that it sold 1.8 million iPhones in the last quarter, of which 40 percent were new customers.
Sprint started offering Apple's iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 for the first time in October.

Wow. iphone really help sprint and boost their sale that is real good i think more companies will get iphone next year

I was on AT&T and had an iPhone 4 then switched to Sprint a month ago and got the iPhone 4s

That's a no brainer. 35% of those new customers were probably AT&T customers because of the "unlimited " data. Who didn't know the iPhone was gonna help Sprint sales? Again, no brainer. When AT&T decides to do something spectacular that other carriers are not offering, than everyone will go back to to AT&T and their new customer base will increase. It's all a game and no one is winning.

Should be a good lesson for T-mobile.

How long till Sprint pulls the chord on the unlimited plan?

They'll probably go bankrupt of they do. The only reason a lot of people are using Sprint is because unlimited data not because of their coverage or Internet speeds of which they are worse than Verizon and AT&T.

Sprints 3g speeds are like 2.3g. and im surprised that only 1.8m sold?
-
lets hope so

U mean sprint 3G is 0.5 Mbps to about 0.8 Mbps, maybe 1mbps, and that's very rare. I'm surprised they sold 1.8 million iPhones. Bet they they didn't factor in the return rate, and I can tell u that it's high. FYI I also returned my iPhone in 9 days because of sprint crappy network.

No wonder T-mobile wants to get the iphone on their network.
