iPhone Offers Better Resale Value Than Android or BlackBerry
You typically look at the resale value of items like cars, property etc. before you buy them. You can now check the resale value even for smartphones.
Priceonomics - the firm that tracks the resale value of items like cars, bikes, gadgets etc has published a report that provides resale value of smartphones.
If you've bought an iPhone then you have taken the right decision as Priceonomics reports that pricing data strongly indicates that iPhone is a better value than other smartphones.

I couldn't have said it better my self "The highest quality phones should have the best resale values over time and crappier phones (ANDROiD) depreciate the fastest"

I disagree with the gigabyte part I charge 50 to 100 dollars more when I resale my iPhone

Yrah. 32GB is more popular than 16 or 64. Chk ebay.

yeah iphone prices are steady because they are good and a lot of ppl are getting more and more

Not big difference as I thought. And you forgot the part that stated some of higher end Android phones can retain up to 84% of their original price. And this is expected, Apple controls pricing and only updates once a year.

The thing with Android/Blackberry phones is... There are a larger amount released by different manufacturers. So there is a wider choice, more competition, different specs etc. to choose from. I'm guessing that would have a detremental effect on the overall re-sale value of any product. "The highest quality phones should have the best resale values over time and crappier phones should depreciate the fastest. The evidence is clear - the winner is the iPhone." Written like a true fan-boy.Hmmmmmm?

There are so many Androids and Blackberries that are not even worthy of comparison to the iPhone. It would be better to compare resale of the smartphones that have similar specs to the iPhone.
