Apple Employee Says iPad 3's Screen is "Truly Amazing"
The New York Times reports that according to their source in Apple, iPad 3 will come with an improved and “truly amazing” screen.
The NYT reports:
An Apple employee said that the version of the new iPad that is being tested inside the company is “essentially the same size and shape as the iPad 2,” with an improved and “truly amazing” screen. The tablet will include a faster processor, said the employee, who did not want to be identified because Apple is not fond of leaks.

Yes. If the 3 packs little more than a 3 with more pixels or even photons, it's a pass from me.

You guys nuts?! I would take a "retina" screen over 4G/LTE any day. My iPad 2 is rarely off WiFi, maybe 10% of the time at most, yet the screen is something that you look at 100%. If the clarity is anything like the razor sharp iPhone 4 this will be a beautiful sight indeed.I simply cannot wait for the sharp text and crisp reading experience the new screen will bring!

I´ts IPAD 2S you stupids.... do you really thin apple will release ipad 3 only a year after... you have proof that if the ipad looks like ipad 2 and have a better screen and speed it will be IPAD 2S.

IMO i think the ipad 2 form factor is great...changing it would mean changing smart covers and all the registered covers for the ipad 2 just a year from its release..which is not feasible nor practical...retina display will boost the ipad like crazy i would definitely upgrade my ipad 2...Porsche have looked the same since they were made.BMWs Mercs VW and Audi change the shape once every 8 years or so...quit bitching..if you dont wanna buy there are many excuses...''I DONT LIKE TOUCH SCREENS '' is also a good one :)

for me, retina display on ipad 3 won't be a deal maker. i'm getting pretty boring with using apple devices. i am now waiting for windows 8 tablet...
