Apple Blocking Unauthorized Use of Siri From Non-iPhone 4S Devices
Ever since Apple introduced Siri - the personal assistant feature that is exclusively available on iPhone 4S, hackers have figured out various ways to port it to non-iPhone 4S devices.
While some of these hacks like h1Siri have been illegal, iOS hackers and developer Grant Paul a.k.a chpwn along with Ryan Petrich had released a jailbreak tweak called Spire back in December 2011, that legally brought Siri to non-iPhone 4S devices, which worked with a proxy server.

One of these days iOS will start doing something with the plist files to protect the apps a little more. It's just way to easy right now to modify accounts, subscriptions, etc with a simple file editor and changing a few plist entries. Didn't even need to jailbreak to get past a few programs trial periods.... just changed a date in the plist.... the game goes on and on.....

And then when someone says something bad about Apple and something good about Android people start to defend Apple. Why don't you iOS/Mac users fight for OpenSource and defend yourselves rather than fight against "different" people?

^exactly, thats what happened when you keep feeding the beast and they can do what ever they want, who's gonna stop them. With all these lawsuits and desperate move to lock down everything, but at the end its the end user that suffers.Clearly for years Apple does not care what end user wants, and what does end user has to do to get what they want...Jailbreak and after that its this issue or that with the device. It is funny how, they reject dev apps (then they end up with JB community) and next thing you know similar functionalists magically shows up in apple's next ios release.I now have an android phone, unfortunately i also have iPhone4, 3GS before that and iPhone3 before that. It is just sad to see how many people in this world are just blinded by all these apple's shenanigans....and just follows them like a cult, brainwashed.

Siriport (Not Spire) still working perfectly fine on my iP4 but i'm thinking of taking it off as i have noticed a drop in battery usage since having it on. And also i don't use it. It's just another gimmick. "Been there, got the T-shirt"...

Spire is working fine for me, no modification necessary. I will keep it in mind though if I do have problems.I honestly don't understand why Apple doesn't open up Siri to iPhone 4 devices, it works just fine.

I have Android and better engine than Siri, and I can choose between other engines, you are stuck at what Apple says... little slave... You people do not pay attention, be smart... All the time "rumors" make you get anxious about ipad3, iphone5 and all s**t, they just do this for you to be waiting 16 hours to buy something closed (very good piece of hardware by the way) but closed! You can't send files via bluetooth!!! Evolve...

Siri will eat all your monies not on paid or free servers but Data connections unless using wireless u r safe but battery drainage still No.1 killer to all Devices lol so why must there be a war between iOS , Android , Symbians, Blackberry,MeeGo and Windows Phone. Next buy all types of mobile phones and try out all OS devices and of course with better Hardware will be advantage for the phone but seriously for the sake of Siri Debating it's pointless people.
