ContactPrivacy 1.1: Gives You More Control Over Your Address Book And Also Fixes WhatsApp Crashing Issue
Last week, Ryan Petrich has released a jailbreak tweak called ContactPrivacy inspired by Path's privacy incident, which prompts you when apps like Path 2 try to access your contacts database and gives you an option to allow or deny access to the iPhone app.
Unfortunately, some of you commented that it was causing WhatsApp to crash.

the most valuable company on the planet cannot fix its own product quicker than a small group of hackers. well done hackers, poor poor apple hang your heads in shame for not noticing the bug within iOS and not noticing these apps that was copying contacts.the "FaceinHole" app also copies your contacts. noticed this after installing the cydia fix.

hackers don't have to test the products to make sure they don't break other stuff. Hackers aren't accountable to anyone. Plus hackers don't have to consider wether the interface they create is so cumbersome that it drives away people. We have a new notification precisely because the first one of interupting everything with a large dialog box was a poorly thought out solution. Do people really want a solution that ask for prompt to access everything, contacts? calender? etc? for every single app?
