Apple Settles iPhone 4 Antennagate Lawsuit; Will Give Free Bumper or $15 to U.S. iPhone 4 Users
When Apple launched iPhone 4, users reported reception issues when they held the iPhone in a particular way.
The issue which was dubbed Antennagate received so much negative publicity that Apple had to call a special press conference to talk about it and forced them to give away iPhone 4 bumpers or third-party iPhone cases to all iPhone 4 customers.

What about the people who don't live in US? I live in Mexico and I have the same problem. I guess Apple just care about their customers in US only.

That's good to here. Anything free from apple is always good. But I bought mines from a friend who received the free bumper during the 1st time around. AT&T knows I have an iPhone 4 so I wonder if I would get one. Dang.

$15 dollars or a product that cost the company $5 dollars to make. that is like buying a car for 49,000 dollars and the electrical system completely sucks and the company saying.....sorry, here is $500 dollars for you troubles. Jawbone had this same issue with one of its products. I am not sure the details, but I got to keep my up and a full refund. Now that is a loyal company and that is how its done. Apple should refund the full amount for the phone for the members who bought the phone without knowing the issue. $15 dollars is like saying FU!!

Apple gave out bumpers in 2010 for this problem. I'd take the $15, because the bumpers scratch up the steel sides on the phone and openings on the bumpers are made purposely made to cater to apple products, i.e, headphones, chargers, & docks.

I got a free case the first time around. I don't like it, but the phone doesn't function without it. Can we claim the $15 if we already got the case?

Yes the phone does work without a case !!!!!!! I never used a case for my iPhone 4 , and it worked fine ;) I think it got better signal then my iPhone 4s .. with no case

Cool! I can use this 15 dollars to buy liqour. Bacardi 151 goes for 13 bucks down the street and it's a big bottle, thanks apple...or I mean the people filing the lawsuit.

The reason the end user only receives $15 is because the lawyers get the lion share of the settlement. As Shakespeare said in Henry VI, "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers"
