How to Customize Push Notification Alert Tone For Each App Using PushTone [Jailbreak Tweak]
We continue to see jailbreak tweaks that enhance the iOS Push Notification system, which was completely revamped in iOS 5 with Notification Center.
One of the problems that still remains is that nearly all notifications make the same sound (barring a few apps where developers have taken the effort to assign a different tone for their app).

YES!! I've been dying for this feature since my very first iPhone, and have suggested it to Apple on numerous occasions. Can't believe it still isn't part of iOS...but at long last, the JB community comes to the rescue :D

Just got it! Works amazing! And it even works with your own made ringtones, and text tones!

I tried it and it appears to nullify my biteSMS sound--whenever PushTone is enabled my texts no longer make any noises. Anyone else having this issue?
