Analyst Claims iPad 3 Will be Powered by Dual-Core A5X Chip
While iPad 3 is almost certain to come with a high resolution Retina Display, there has been some doubts whether it will be powered by a quad-core A6 chip or a dual-core A5X chip.
Based on the code discovered in iOS 5.1 beta, Apple may be working on both the quad-core A6 chip or a dual-core A5X chip. In that scenario, we speculated that Apple may end up using the quad-core A6 chip in iPad 3 and the dual-core A5X in the next iPhone.

It's a no brainer. I bet my left nut it's going to be dual core only. Why? Cause Apple is always one generation behind in hardware, although their software is one generation ahead in software as compared to Android.

Danny- i own both devices, but can you explain how ios software is better then android? Be specific! Lol im not trying to side i just want to hear someones take.

They need the extra horsepower to handle the new screen resolution, without the A6 I'm a little worried an iPad 2 will be the speedier device, and that is not what anyone wants!

Sigh, analysts. Do they ever claim something which we dont really know?
