Apple Hiring Engineers to Work On 'iCar' Infotainment System?
An Apple China job posting on LinkedIn suggests that the company is looking for people in the automobile industry to work with them, on what is presumably a project to develop a car infotainment system.

This is one product I'm surprised that Apple has not come out with it yet. The Pioneer AppRadios are a good start, but still depend too much on the user interfacing with the phone to get going. It would be even ten times better if they work with automanufacturers to the radio to interface with cars who have LCD info displays in the dash (VW, Audi, etc.) to show GPS info and song info.

So will Apple be filing patents for .... wheels, engines, brakes, sat nav and comp controlled engine systems etc etc. That should keep the legal teams busy for a while lol

Tesla already have touch interface for their car. Entire their car system controls by touch. You can even surf web which car can use 3G to access to internet. You can check it out: www.teslamotors.com

i think apple could make how the car will be and what its going to have inside about the engine parts brakes etc. should make it another line
