The New iPad Has 1GB RAM?
Apple unveiled the hugely anticipated third generation iPad at a special event yesterday. It comes with a gorgeous 2048 x 1536 Retina Display, powered by a faster dual-core A5X chip with includes a quad-core GPU, 5-megapixel rear camera and support for 4G LTE networks.
As usual, Apple didn't reveal how much RAM is included in the new iPad. The new iPad's tech specs webpage also doesn't mention it.

Well, not much to be excited about for me. A few upgrades is okay, but I've still opted to go ahead and buy a Xoom(32gb, 1gb RAM, hdmi, etc) instead.I love my iPhone 4s and previous iPhones/iPods I've had, but every time I pick an iPad I get bored. iBooks is enjoyable to use on iPad, but my iPhone can do pretty much everything else I need. iPad 3 is just missing that wow factor.

I haven't watched any videos of the launch event but is the new iPad called the IPad 3 or is it just the third iPad?

They really did just call it 'The New iPad'.I feel a bit underwhelmed too but ordered one anyway. Got caught up in the iFever and now it's on its way and too late.

Tablets in general are stupid and useless. Yes, they are getting more powerfull and faster but so are computers....therefore a laptop is and always will be much faster. A tablet obviously isnt going to fit in your pocket so its just another thing you have to carry around. If you're going to be carrying something extra around, might as well be a far more capable laptop.

I love ipads but more as a multimedia tool. I agree with Leroy Brown so im going to buy the new Dell ultrabook XPS13 because i also need windows. This said i of course will buy The NiP 64Gb wifi + 4G with 1GB of RAM in the next weeks.

Retina display is what iPad 2 should of had. 10 hr battery is great, but other than that, big whoop. Underwhelmed.

It's just 'iPad' as apple decided to get lost of numbers and spacialnames like 4S. the next iPhone will apparently also be called 'iPhone' like Computers and most other products used to be called for ages; there's no iMac 3S or anything like that, only a Macbook Air/Pro to describe their unique abilities.

Lol androId is lightyears behind. So they got hdmi support. Big deal the screen flow is garbage on all of them. The scrolling to each page is crap and their apps suck. iPad are a different mindset lol
