How To Jailbreak iPad 1 Running iOS 5.1 Using Redsn0w
Apple released iOS 5.1 yesterday, which includes some minor improves and bug fixes.
iPhone Dev team has just released a new version of Redsn0w - Redsn0w 0.9.10b6 that supports iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1 and 3rd-generation iPod touch.

there is no need to update to 5.1 imo. nothing changed it just fixes bugs on 4s.

I updated my iPod Touch 4G to iOS 5.1 and jailbroke it with redsn0w, no issues there it was fast and straight forward, HOWEVER, I've found an issue in which all the apps I open are only a quarter of their size located in the top left corner and I do not seem able to fix it... any help would be appreciate it!!!

Another bug: I must boot it all the time for cydia to turn on. I turn off my iPad=Must boot again for cydia to work. Help?

great... it's works... my only problem is that i have to run just boot twice before cydia works... 1st is changing its white icon but wont run... cydia runs after 2nd time of just boot... thanks.

one more issue... it seems that I cannot reebooting my iPad without loosing the fuction of cydia... to re activate it I have always do "just boot"...

Hi, i shut off my ipad on accident and now when i turn it on it goes on for about 5 seconds, the little circle thing starts spinning, it shuts off, turns back on and does the same thing repeatively. i cant get into it. This happened after i jail broke it. Any help on fixing it??

hi!i followed the steps and i successfully did it! tHEN.... the next day i cant open my cracked apps, the paid apps will open though, but i cant open safari too. the thing is, i needed to jailbreak my ipad again and again to fix it. ive been jailbreaking my ipad for 3 consecutive days now just to make it work. do i need to jailbreak everyday? please help anyone? thanks.

For everyone that is complaining about not being able to run cydia after the JB and for those of you that have to are not able to boot your device after the JB.....YOU NEED TO READ ALL THE INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE JAILBRAKING. THIS IS A TEHTHERED JAILBREAK WHICH MEANS THAT YOU MUST RUN USE THE "JUST BOOT" OPTION IN THE REDSNOW IN ORDER TO REBOOT YOUR DEVICE AND ALSO TO BE ABLE TO USE CYDIA. YOU MUST RUN "JUST BOOT" EVERYTIME YOU WANT TO REBOOT YOUR DEVICE OR CYDIA AND SAFARI WON'T WORK.
