Not Surprisingly, New iPad Doesn't Allow FaceTime Over 4G LTE
The Verge reports that the new iPad doesn't support FaceTime over 4G LTE.
It doesn't come as a surprise, as the FaceTime feature, which is currently available on iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPad 2 doesn't work over 3G, so we didn't expect the third generation iPad to allow FaceTime over the faster 4G LTE networks.

ah well. Jailbreak (when it arrives) and extend a hearty finger to the lovely network providers lol

3G Unrestrictor is always installed on my iOS devices (except my Apple TV) once there is an untethered jb method available.

This will be 4G unrestrictor time

The reason, well at least my guess, of why they restrict Facetime over 3g/4g and not Skype is that Skype requires the client to be open and running where as the Facetime client is always running on the iPhone/iPad/etc.

FACETIME SUCKS.

Used FaceTime a total of 3 times can't be bothered maybe if it were someone I haven't seen in a long time I would use again but that would be it

What is the point then, search for wifi or make hotspot through iPhone to make facetime calls.
