Works like a charm!
Now how do I unsync all 555 contacts... If you have 555 contacts in the address book and add 1 google will sync it leaving a balance of 556. Delete all the contacts from the Mac address book add one and all 555 are still there...
How does one unsync all 555?

Got it! unsync works when you connect the iphone and sync to the Mac.
First delete all contacts from address book, after archiving when you have 0 contacts left create one contact put iphone in cradle and allllll contacts will be gone from google after sync.
Now go into google pref and uncheck sync google
Then open address book and select import address book archive
Just testing but not comfortable with putting my data on the internet.
All in all cool feature if you're not paranoid...
