New iPad vs. iPad 2: Boot up Time
Apple's new iPad comes with dual-core A5X chip with quad-core graphics. Initial benchmark results have shown that A5X chip is as fast as A5 chip, which powers iPad 2.
So how does Apple's new A5X chip impact boot up time? To get an answer to that question Jeff Benjamin of iDB did a side-by-side comparison of the boot time on iPad 2 and the new iPad. He reports:

I agree. I'll bet that 90% of iPad users only turn off and boot up their iPads once a month. But it's nice to know that you do indeed have the latest and greatest.

sorry I turn mine on and off daily so the kids don't have at it whenever they want I like to know what they are doing.

On other videos over youtube ipad 2 boot time was faster than the new ipad by some seconds... I will try to look for the video

I don't think the test was done correctly. I have tested my new iPad and iPad 2 I gave to my lady. 6 out of 10 Ipad2 booted 2 seconds faster than the new iPad. Make sure you have no jailbreak or programs running on both iPads and then you can truly compare. The new iPad is great but there isn't that much difference for the average user. Not comparing side by side I didn't see much different with the display but putting them side by side I will say it won't make much difference again to the average user. My 2 cents.

I tried the new iPad right beside the iPad 2 yesterday.The new high res screen looks nice.The new camera took nicer picsNo other diffence was noticedLooks like I'll be sticking with my iPad 2 for another year

It's never been about whats worth it and whats not. It has always been about having the latest and greatest. Anyone who hates on people upgrading to the new releases are... well... haters.

Apple really makes small updates. This should have atleast quad core processor and 8 megapixel camera. Its like they never give it their best, saving for a rainy day because they know people would buy it anyway.

Only difference I could notice in ipad 2 or ipad 3 was ;- Display , camera. Ya but for sure it feel cool to get latest gadget.
