Former Apple TV Engineer Clarifies His Remarks on The New Apple TV Interface
Yesterday, Michael Margolis - a former Apple TV engineer set the blogsphere abuzz by claiming that the new Apple TV interface designs were tossed out 5 years ago because Steve Jobs didn't like them.

There was no clarification needed actually.

I still think if steve was alive he'd have rejected it cause it's tacky.

The Grid pattern only applies for the top selection menu anyway, after that it switches to text based, it's a minor cosmetic tweak. The trouble is that the icons are SO LARGE, that any unsuspecting 83 year old woman is bound to walk into them...My biggest beef with the update was the nonsensical (due to iTunes 10.6 update) loss of alphabetical listing of TV Shows/Movies from your own computer, and it would be great to get the older, and more sensible hierarchy back into the listings, as it was in the beginning (and so it should be again).for example: TV Shows / Smallville / Season 9 / Episode 01 - 901 ~ Savior
