Patent Reveals Apple's Plan to Bring Siri to Mac Via iPhone Pairing
Siri - Apple's revolutionary personal assistant feature is currently available only to iPhone 4S users.
The new iPad, which went on sale two weeks back, features only Siri's Dictation feature, which is called "Voice Dictation".
But based on the details available in the patent titled "Voice Control System" discovered by Apple Insider, Apple has plans to bring Siri to other devices like the Mac by pairing them with an iPhone 4S to share its voice control capabilities.

pointless... if they are planning to do this why not bring siri to iPad?
-
Siri completely sucks. Its a toy.
-
How about Apple bring Siri up to par with its functionality in America, concerning the other countries. It's still half-ass done imo.
-
Great now my Mac will also not be able to look up anything in Canada too!
-
What part of Canada do you live in? I just went to Toronto this past weekend and used Siri and Navigon to get everywhere. Granted, I'm not a local so I was going to pretty common places (touristy type things and clubs), but I didn't see any difference in functionality than when I'm here in America.

It's in beta and works well.
-
Eventually a Mac will be a bigger iPad, and that is certainly not worth looking forward to.

Shut up fas

Yes, that's exactly why Apple labeled Siri beta upon release, because they knew it was a over hyped "toy" at point (even now 6months later), Apple conned with their gimmicky Siri.

Spot on.
-
Voice control did a lot of what Siri does. And I only had to repeat myself all the time just like siri

If siri works well with all these devices, It could be blessing for those how have eye sight problems, even handicaps will also be benefitted with this feature. May be apples next goal is to keep one platform throughout series of apple devices.
