Apple Updates Australian Website to Clarify New iPad is Not Compatible With 4G LTE And WiMAX Networks
Earlier in the week, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) was not happy with the way Apple and its carrier partners were using of the term "4G" in advertising the new iPad and planned to take action.
Apple had responded by offering refunds to Australian customers who felt that they were misled by the use of the "4G" term. Apple has also agreed to clarify that iPad 3's 4G does not work with Australian 4G LTE networks.

not only does it not work on 4g but Siri also is not functioning in other countries. Why oh why does apple think the only people it markets to live in US or Canada? If your going to release something then make it work world wide. At least android have both a HD screen and a phone that works on 4G. What next NFC that only works in China? Get your act together Apple.
