Apple's new iPad comes with dual-core A5X chip with quad-core graphics.
So does the new A5X chip boost performance of the new iPad? Benchmark results have shown that it is as fast as iPad 2, which is powered by the A5 chip.
What about boot up time?
Folks at iClarified who had brought us the video comparing the network speed of iPad 1 vs. iPad 2 vs. iPad 3 have just published the video comparing the boot times of the iPad 1 vs. iPad 2 vs. iPad 3 on iOS 5.1.

I live how in the video the start the clocks at the same time but they don't turn all the iPads on at the same time, usually you start the clock when the apple symbol appears on the screen. What a terrible video.

Actually I think that the one and two Just about tied because the "Swipe to unlock" message is frozen on the one for a bit and that makes it not usable...unless we are SOLELY talking about until it GETS to this screen and not when we can actually use it. Also... Why wouldn't they do a factory reset of the iPads to get a more accurate of out of box boot up since things enabled might provide different results. Yalls words not mine
