iSleepWell: Jailbreak Tweak Puts Your iPhone in Airplane Mode When Placed Face Down
iSleepWell is a relatively new jailbreak tweak that puts your iPhone in Airplane mode when placed face down.
The jailbreak tweak developed by xvolks makes use of iPhone's accelerometer to figure out if your iPhone is face up or down, if it detects it is face down then it automatically turns of all your iPhone's radios, which means your beauty sleep won't be disturbed by calls, text messages, emails or push notifications and more importantly it also helps in conserving your iPhone's battery.

Basicly app sucks, so it comes to my mind. G - someone had to pay for advertising this app on iphonehacks. I wonder how much does it cost to have my own - Hey but this iShitttyApp it really works it does absolutely nothing for just one buck!

Nope...should be using the accelerometer. If it used the proximity sensor if you placed a call and put your head next to the phone it would go into airplane mode.The phone's accelerometer/internal gyroscope let's the device know what position the phone it is and I guess it was scripted for down.

What happens when the phone is in my front pocket? I use a Pong Research radiation blocking case and you are supposed to have the front glass face you because it redirects radiation away from you. I could see how this would easily activate airplane mode.Before you diss me for the radiation thing do a little google search, this case is for reals.http://www.pongresearch.com/news.html
