TinyUmbrella Updated to Allow Users to Save BBTickets
notcom a.k.a semaphore has released a new version of TinyUmbrella (5.10.12) that will allow iPhone 4S and iPhone 4 (GSM and CDMA) users to save BBTickets.
TinyUmbrella allows you to take backups of SHSH blobs (ECID SHSH) that can be used to downgrade to older iOS versions even after Apple stops signing the iOS firmware file.

if i accidently upgraded to ios 5.1 is there any hope that i can downgrade or jailbreak in a near future

You could do so now if you did, unless you have an 4S, iPad2 or 3 its not possible yet, well to us no but to the guy who found it yes.

Maybe if you Restore thats the only way or you have somone update your phone by mistake.

I got a prompt and then a reminder in settings to do the over the air upgrade. I'm not going to do it of course, but I could imagine someone accidentally hitting ok.

Because of my OCD, I have to upgrade, even if it means not having a jail broken iPhone anymore. I've learned my lesson, however, and wish I could still downgrade. But I suppose the SHSH blobs are specific to every phone huh? if only I could just snatch SHSH blobs loaded on the Internet from someone else. Guess I'll just have to wait a while until they figure out how to jailbreak 5.1 for A5 devices -______-
