Dev Team Updates Redsn0w to Fix Issue Affecting OS X Users
While we eagerly wait for the jailbreak community to release an untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPod touch 4 and iPod touch 3 and a jailbreak for iPhone 4S, iPad 2 and iPad 3, the iPhone Dev team has quietly updated Redsn0w to fix an issue for those running OS X 10.5.x or earlier.

It can perform an untethered jailbreak at 5.1 for old bootrom 3GS.

How come nobody mentions that if you have 3GS with new bootrom you can not unlock your phone.You will get "NO SERVICE "Flashbacks to GPS issue that was never resolved on 4.1 ?

Just wanted to bring to your attention that I found many websites selling jailbreak/unlock for iPhone 4s on 5.1 firmware. One of them is http://www.jailbreakiphone4s.com/If you enter their contact phone number (0844 884 9594) in Google search. You will find more web sites using this phone number. What they sell to you is Absinthe for 5.0.1 and they (or he/she) are saying that it is their software. Another one is http://www.iphone-unlocker-pro.com/Actually, I found their advertizing on iphonehacks.comSorry if this subject was covered already.
