AT&T announced its financial results for the first quarter of 2012.

AT&T's posted revenues of $31.8 billion, up 1.8 percent, versus the year-earlier quarter and operating income of $6.1 billion, up 4.9 percent, versus the year-earlier quarter.

    Good for YOU At&T. Loyal customer here.... I'd like my data speeds back now please. Sounds like you can afford to update your network a smidge and allow your customers who have stuck with you for some time to relish in the defining statement of "Unlimited."

    Wall street may be impressed that the profit on smartphones is significantly more than on normal phones, but the customers will sooner or later realize that they are being taken. Prepaid companies like Tracfone are catching up fast. Apple is now the leader, but soon others will be competitive and then the price war will star and I would then bet on a low cost company like Tracfone
