Chinese Government Official Says Proview Owns iPad Trademark
A senior official with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) has been quoted saying that Proview Technologies is the rightful owner of the name "iPad" in China.

Since when are the Chinese interested in patents, trademarks? They will steel you blind. If you have your product made there, they copy it and sell there version made with child labor.

I agree, Top Gear had a very funny episode showing some of the cars that they had blatantly copied. I hope Apple can afford to say a big stuff you with China, and not sell any Apple products to the country.

All the more reason to stop production of all Apple products in that country. I am really getting tired that nothing is made in the USA anymore.

Yeah - Apple is going to move production to the USA or anywhere other than China. With the markup they throw on their products a laptop would cost $5K and the cheapest ipad would be $999.

They are not exploiting anyone, you can't hold China or any other country to the American labor standards. They are happy to do it, they earn money and they feed families. anywhere in the world factory (like a robot) type of work pays next to nothing. Apple is not to blame if they want to keep prices down, try to do the same here in the states, I'll tell you a story.I'm not siding with Apple or anyone else because there is no side to take, all business.Do I feel for them? Of course I do, because we are spoiled here, nobody goes hungry in the USA, you can't measure them with the same rule, it is a communist contry.
