They really went too far, the new NXT robots have Bluetooth built in and can parse commands sent on the COM ports. They could have just made a iPhone native app to talk to the robot over bluetooth, this light sensing stuff is going to far.

Why could you not also have a pre-programmed set of "color based commands" that could tell the robot to do what it wants without having 2 iphones i wonder? the bluetooth idea is cool too! but i bet because the lac of iphone bluetooth support it is not so easy to do it that way just yet....

Really cool! I'd buy one if they got it to work with the remote that comes with the imac. Stilling having fun with my gyroscope but can't get it to sync with the iphone.
Now I know what to do with my second iphone.

dude thats gay why didnt they jst use the iBluetooth project? thatd be so much better the nxt has built in bluetooth. awww. sorta cool i guess.

oh i built an RC car using two nxt's one in the car and one as the controller bluetooth. not that hard
