RIM Reportedly Behind "Wake Up" Campaign
It looks like RIM is behind the lame anti-Apple "Wake Up" campaign.
Over the weekend, Samsung who was originally suspected to be behind the guerrilla marketing campaign for the Galaxy S III launch, denied sending protestors outside Apple Store in Sydney chanting "Wake Up".
James Croft of MacTalk looked through the source of the Wake Up Australia website and found that it is actually RIM that was behind the embarrassing campaign.

Hahah, RIM is dieing a slooow death.Maybe if they switched to Android they might have a hope?

Hard to take this seriously when clearly the countdown is for this week. When you posted this 2 days ago the counter was over 8 million and now it's over 5 million. Even without doing the calculations you can easily see it is nowhere near July.

Wake up to what? Another service that you have to dependent on? No thanks.

Poor Samsung people....wrongfully accused. Tim Cook should send all Samsungers a juicy green apple with a small sticker stating 'iSorry'

hehe RIM, oh boy.they didn't even have an aussie store for almost a year after i got my BB 9700, and then the apps were damn expensive to boot.it's RIM that need to wake up imo.haha anyone remember the blackberry commercial where a berry gets shot out of a gun and blows up the apple, loved apples response. look it up if you haven't seen it, pure gold.

What how can RIM be telling people "wake up"... Wait , wait... what. Shouldn't RIM be waking up, instead they are telling Apple to "wake up" when if you look at the sales of the two phone company's, Apple is kicking arse in comparison!

The timer actually runs faster... it actually seems to be only 5.6 days away... not 63 like the article suggests. The last digit is milliseconds, and the second to last digit is actual seconds.

The date in the scripts on the site is set to countdown to 6 May 3pm (14:59:59). You can see this clearly in their preload script:http://wake-up-australia.com.au/scripts/pld.jsvar D1 = new Date("6 May 2012 14:59:59");

Exactly... It bothers me that noone notices that...
