Dev Team Updates Redsn0w to Fix Minor Bug
While we wait for the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad 1, iPod touch 4, iPod touch 3, Apple TV 2 and a jailbreak for iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3 and Apple TV 3, the iPhone Dev team has released a new version Redsn0w to fix a minor bug.
The version of Redsn0w has now been bumped up to 0.9.10b8b. They've just updated their blog with this brief note:

If it aint broken don't fix it. My 4S still works like a charm so I think I will skip this update and wait for the 5.1 to become ready.

I bought an iphone 4s running 5.1 out of the box...eagerly waiting for a jailbreak tool to be released! even a tethered jailbreak will do !Keep up the good work...

What if I have an iPhone 4 already jailbroken with Redsn0w on 5.0.1 untethered? If I run this, will I loose the untether jailbreak and make it tetherered?

Dude. If your JB is working fine, don't mess with it. If you somehow screw it up youll have to restore and be required by Apple to go to 5.1 which a JB has not been released yet. Just leave it As-Is.
