So when I first dl'd winpwner I updated my I tunes through the check for update... well apparently it didnt take it all the way to 7.7 but rather 7..... so that probably why I got the unknown error msg I am updateing now to actual 7.7 to see if that was indeed the problem. I will post after I try agian.

Ok so this time after the update it seemed as if it was going to work but then i got an error 1601 ..... I thought that issue was fixed in this update...

Tony, I would put my phone back in dfu mode and restor with i tunes back to the 1.1.4 and then use ziphone to re unlock/jailbreak
Also to update my progress on mine i am now using my laptop i am dl a fresh itunes 7.7 b/c its never been on this laptop and dl winpwner and the firmwares and im going to try with it and see if that works. -

k people. i was having problems at first. My computer couldnt create the custom ipsw file so i switched computers and even when i did, i started having the 1600 errors so i updated to the newly released itunes and it all worked fine.WHeeww, wat a relieve.
