F****** Apple. They are turning into Microsoft Nazis more and more each day, with trying to lock everything down, to the crappy buggy releases they put out. So much for their open source philosophy.

Apple is suc*ing more and more each day. The iphone OS is as buggy as any MS product and they are becoming so nazis that is not even funny. I am still reasonably happy with my pwned and unlocked iphone, but I would not buy it again. I am tired of just having apple try to get control of MY device (did you get it NAZI JOBS? It is MY device, not yours, stop messing with it).
(BTW: I do own ca. $10k in apple computer hardware, but I am getting tired of dealing with this company)

I didn't have a pwn problem in XP. Used WinPwn 2.5, then restored custom ipsw with iTunes 8.

Were you half asleep when you wrote the article? You mixed up quite a few things.
- "pwn the iPhone" -> "pwn the firmware" ?
- "so that it can be used to flash it" ?
- "try to restore to an iPwned ipsw from a non-iPwned device" -> "try to restore an iPwned ipsw to a non-iPwned device" ? -
It's 8am Fridday and the update check for iphone 2.1 comes up empty. It still says that 2.0.2 is the current FW, what's up with that?

I understand the anger at Apple, but please, please stop calling anyone who's too strict "Nazis". Apple isn't trying to exterminate an entire race of people, and making that comparison makes you sound silly; not to mention cheapens the horror that people *should* have toward real Nazi-like tactics that still happen in places like Darfur.
Apple's lock-down is a bit fascist, though. ;-)

as for the iphone being buggy and its os as buggy as MS??
im a mobile developer specialist and i can tell you hands down nothing beats MS from being buggy!
but apple dont get me wrong, im not praising you all that much...
love your phone but hey, would it be that hard to make a clipboard for copy paste?? PLEASE!!!!but as far as MS and APPLE is concerned, years ahead APPLE is!

egh... i pwn my phone the other day. worked for a total of 2 days. until apple updated itunes. now, i have it jailbreaked, but cant activate nor unlock. tried downgrading firmware. uninstall itunes 8. download 7.7 and no good.
starting to piss me off.

do anybody know if when I jailbreak an iPhone3G, which has been never pwned before, will I be able to update it legally via iTunes when the next firmware (e.g. 2.1.1 or 2.2.) is released? BTW: My iPhone3G is from Belgium, so no SIM/NET-Lock included. But I need the jailbreak because of the auto-correction feature :(

my iphone is damage i dont know for what reason. i pwned 3 units i phone arelady with ease on my fourth something wrong happened. while reviewing i think now its the itunes 8 but still not sure. my phone wont restore and in pwn it does not continue under custom my windows will habe error

Can we sue the Apple corporation? Other countries are allowed to have unlocked phones not carrier specific, why do we idiots allow it in this country?
I say let's sue them for all they are worth, and take our freedom back.
