hello on ebay they sell this film of plastic that sits in sim card tray between sim card and supposeablly you can use with any network. if it does will download the carrier settings of that phone company once reset

Noting that security is important--what is the risk security-wise in jailbreaking? If I use appstore banking apps, is it still "safe" to use these with a jailbroken Iphone or do I risk compromise through phishing, backdoors, etc.?

can someone indicate what are the negatives of jailbreaking an iphone 3gs?
i've been told the only negative is the inability to download apps over a wifi connection but the same can be done via a physical connection to the itunes store.
pls help if there is something else am not aware of.

Are there any apps for the iPhone to secure from hacks? Like a Norton system? On a news channel I heard the report about unsecure wifi & hackers. They even provided the app names.. But I didn't catch it for the iPhone. Anybody?
