pod2g: iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak Release Some Weeks Away
pod2g has just tweeted that it will still take him "some weeks" to release a user friendly tool for his untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.1.
He has also mentioned that he doesn't plan to release a beta version.
pod2g had revealed earlier in the week that his untethered jailbreak works on iPhone 4 running iOS 5.1. Earlier today, he also confirmed that it works on iPad 3 running iOS 5.1 and even posted a video of the untethered iPad 3 on iOS 5.1 on his blog.

Surely 5.1 is pointless now as apple are signing 5.1.1 so for the people who are on 5.01 they will have to upgrade to 5.1.1, so this jailbreak is pointless! We wait so long for a jailbreak, new firmware normally released before jailbreak does,This is really boring now, I appreciate all the work theese hackers are doing, but like the majority of people out there were ick of being shown suff that's never released or being told few weeks,This scene has started to go really down hill, it seems its controlled by a few individuals wich are really behind and refuse to let others help or share there experience with others so they can learn, I don't want an android so it looks like I'll be giving up on all this jail breaking and just run stock,It's not what it was 2 years ago, a soon as a product was launched it was jailbroken and released within hours and the hacker were gods, now it takes months to release even after proof of the jailbreak has been shown and now it seems to be about trolling!Boring I'm not 10years old anymore!

We're missing the point that you can only upgrade to 5.1.1 now5.1 jailbreak is now useless for 90% of jail breakers, not having a dig just pointing out the obviousAnd yes I do appreciate all this free work but at least let us help speed it up, we want an open community not a closed one!

This Jailbreak is for the ones that own an iPad 3 or devices that doesn't have SHSH Blobs for previous iOS. If you have SHSH for 5.0.1, just use the new RedSn0w to downgrade and shut the f#ck up about it being "pointless" :-/

Well you do know that it takes their own personal time to jailbreak the devices. Since, over the the years apple has increased their security by ALOT therefore its much harder to develop a jailbreak for it. YOU should be glad your getting it for free rather than paying for it since these expert hackers are spending their own time developing a jailbreak. Be thankful!. Anyways, thanks pod2g for this excellent work.
