Seas0nPass Updated to Add Support For Apple TV Software Update 5.0.1
FireCore has released an updated version of their jailbreaking tool – Seas0nPass 0.8.4 to support tethered jailbreak for Apple TV software update 5.0.1 (aka iOS 5.1.1) for Apple TV 2.
Apple had released Apple TV software update 5.0.1 couple of days back, which allows previews of movies and TV shows to be seen in HD and also includes some bug fixes.
FireCore tweeted:
Seas0nPass 0.8.4 released. Adds [tethered] support for ver. 5.0.1 (iOS 5.1.1) on ATV2. ATV3 update still in progress.

Is there a possibility of a tethered jailbreak for the apple tv 3 in the near future? Or should i just get rid of it for a APTV 2

keep it dude, you will only kick your self when the APTV3 jailbreak is out n realise its better than the other models :)

it seems this jailbreak cracks out after a day or so... It all works fine then suddenly things go weird and the apple tv refuses to do anything.. it may just be me but it never happened on the previous JB only this one... Ive jailbreaked with this latest one 3 times already and the same scenario..

I am waiting a long time for Apple TV 3 jailbreak and now pod2g said it is not compatible and i bought it from the US because it does not exist in my country, so maybe i will need to sell it if i can :(
