'Fold to Unlock' Concept For iPhone's Lock Screen
AppAdvice has discovered a pretty cool concept created by Austin Kudin to replace iPhone's slide to unlock gesture.
Austin Kudin, an interface and Web designer, has posted his "fold-to-unlock" concept on idea-sharing site Dribbble.

There's a tweek that does the same thing. It's called "move to unlock".

How would that work with password protection? it allows the user to partially see the homescreen before it's been unlocked.

I have move to unlock~ it does have a few features for unlocking the screen but they don't have one that folds like in the picture above.

If it works like "move 2 unlock" then yes it would show your homescreen partially which isn't really a big deal because there's hardly any secrets on your homescreen. When it's running an app it'll just show a black background so no one can peak at your messages or e-mails~

looks cool but part of apple's swipe design is that it limits inadvertent "pocket" unlocks. a swipe anywhere on the screen might not be as restrictive.

Nah.... Won't slow down a bit. Same amount of ram being used as if it was slide to unlock.

Integrating the transition in an existing tweak (thinking of move 2 unlock) seems facilitated, check http://t.co/3wDkSQSS I agree with Jack above though regarding the lesser unwanted unlocking which happens with such lockscreen modding.

I am a consumer I don't buy things JUST because apple makes it. Just like so many others do. I buy because the device or whatever does what I want. Apple believes u should buy the device the way they think it should be. I believe if it were not for jail breaking I would have switched long ago. As for sports I am a hometown fan if it were a choice to pick another team I would stop watching the sport rather then switch teams. Open your eyes be yourself no reason to follow the masses to the koolaid Apple is nothing more then a company taking your money. I am willing to bet half the new stuff in ios6 will be STOLEN jailbreak apps like they did in the last major update. Siri is a joke and waste of space. Ok now all u apple boys can jump on me tell me how wrong I am ........

I was just saying. No need to jump on your high horse. And i'm far from being a "Apple Fanboy". I've had Nokia's (Symbian OS), HTC's (Windows Mobile & Android) in the past and i just prefer iPhone for it's snappiness and the fact it does everything i need and more. And to be honest there are only a very select few JB tweaks that interest me (And i have on IOS 5.0.1) After all this said i will probably stick with 5.0.1 for a long time (Or until i get forced in to a "Restore" or something) because there isn't much comes out for them anymore, just bug fixes etc. So in my eye's it is pretty much perfect as is. Afterall it is just a phone at the end of the day. Nothing more :)
