Amid investor fears over the possibility of Samsung losing its spot as a key supplier to Apple, Samsung today, announced the launch of its next generation DRAM chips, based on 20-nanometer process technology with a storage capacity of 4GB.

These chips would be thinner and more power efficient than before, while at the same time delivering better performance.

    I wonder if the people who spread these rumors benefit from this besides page views? After the rumor that RIM was going to be bought out by Samsung or Microsoft, there stock went up. But the rational person would know that wouldn't happen. And then Apple stock kept dropping in April on rumors that Carriers might cut subsidies on smartphones and that their iPad sales may wane. Amazing how susceptible the market is to rumors, even the ones that are highly unlikely.
